Family: I’ve been married to my husband, Rick, for 37 years. We have two married daughters and five grandchildren.

Education: Valley Springs is my high school alma mater. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master’s of Science in Education from the University of Central Arkansas.  I am a Fulbright Scholar from Seattle Pacific University.

Hometown: I was born in Harrison, but moved to Valley Springs in the sixth grade. Lots of my childhood was spent at my grandparents’ farms along, what is now, the Buffalo River, and Tomahawk   Community in Searcy County.

Favorite Bible verse: Thessalonians 4:11-12  and Matthew 6:21

Music Preference: Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Journey, Kansas, Chicago, Santana, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, 60’s,70’s & 80’s and lots lots more… but probably not rap, opera or country… Johnny and Willie excluded.

Favorite meal: Sparky’s queso dip and chips, Cashew chicken

Favorite dessert: Warm chocolate chip cookies and ice milk.

Hobbies: Traveling, gardening, history, reading, art, learning, adventures of all sorts, being with my family.

Random Fact about me: I love to buy shoes, but never want to wear them. I was a photographer and a muralist. I collect double decker buses. I can juggle.
